Admissions Overview

Miraj Islamic School welcomes applications from prospective students of all backgrounds who are interested in experiencing our unique educational environment. Below is an overview of our admissions process to guide you through your child's journey to becoming a student at Miraj Islamic School.

Application Process:

  1. Begin the online application: The enrollment window for new students opens each Spring. Applications are accepted online only and can be found here.

  2. Gather supporting documents: The following documents must be submitted along with the application in order for it to be considered complete:
    • Most recent report card / transcript*
    • Immunization record
    • Birth certificate

*Please note that high school students are required to submit both their latest report card and  transcript (including any high school courses completed during 8th grade)

  3. Pay the registration fee:
    • A $200 non-refundable registration fee applies to all new applications.
    • A $300 non-refundable enrollment fee is applied only upon acceptance and admission.

  4. Schedule and complete an entrance exam: All incoming students are required to take an entrance exam. Upon submission of your application and fee and an initial review, our office will reach out via email to schedule the entrance exam.

  5. Meeting with the Principal (Grades 6 and above): Students entering grades 6 and above will have the opportunity to meet with the principal to discuss their academic goals and aspirations. Once the steps above have been completed, our office will reach out to schedule a meeting.

Admissions Decisions: Decisions are communicated to parents following the completion of all required steps listed above. We review each application carefully, and admission decisions are based on a holistic review of each applicant's qualifications and compatibility with our learning environment. This ensures we can provide an optimal educational experience that benefits both the student and the school community.

Importantly, at this time, Miraj Islamic School is not equipped to provide the necessary resources and support services required for Individualized Education Program (IEP) students.

While enrollment is limited each year, we continue to accept students on a rolling basis until classes reach capacity. We do maintain a waitlist for grades where space is limited.

We encourage you to contact our main office if you have any questions or require additional information. We are happy to assist!
