Last updated: Oct 1st, 2007	Read! in the name of your Lord, Who has created all that exists; was the first verse received by Prophet Muhammed (s.a.w). It is evident that Islam stresses the importance of knowledge and the written word. With increasing wisdom given by Allah (s.w.t), the Prophet (s.a.w) was able to achieve heights that have been incomprehensible to the human mind.   The "Miraj", the ascension from the earth to the heavans, is a significant event in the life of Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w). He (s.a.w) traveled from Makkah to Jerusalem to the heavans and back home, all in one night. Our school is dedicated to striving towards the goal of "Miraj", stressing Islam as the main focus of academia. This foundation will help insure the development of well-rounded individuals, dedicated to understanding and pand practicing Islam at all times. Ramadaan Mubarak! "Ramadan is the (month) in which the Quran was sent down, as a guide to mankind and a clear guidance and judgment (so that mankind will distinguish from right and wrong).." (Q 2:183) "Oh you who believe! Fasting is prescribed to you as it was prescribed to those before you, that you many learn piety and rightousness" (Qur'an, al-Baqarah, 2:183) "...And it is better for you that ye fast, if ye only knew." (Q 2:184)
